Eric advises corporations, trade associations, and advocacy organizations in highly regulated industries, particularly manufacturing, distribution, and consumer products. His practice focuses on government affairs, election law, ethics compliance, administrative law, and related regulatory issues.

Before entering private practice, Eric served as in-house counsel for GE Appliances, where he managed legislative and regulatory strategy across the nation. He also advised executive leadership on emerging policy issues and supervised compliance with federal and state lobbying and campaign finance laws.

Previously, Eric served as President of the Beer Industry of Florida, represented Fortune 500 companies and trade associations as a government and public affairs consultant, and held leadership positions in both the private and public sectors. This includes service as a presidential appointee at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Eric began his career at National Republican Senatorial Committee, where he worked for U.S. Senator Don Nickles and U.S. Senator Phil Gramm. He later served as staff or consultant to the National Republican Congressional Committee, Colorado Republican Party, Congressman Neal Dunn, Governor Paul Cellucci, and the Progressive-Conservative Party of Canada.

In helping organizations build successful advocacy coalitions to influence public policy, Eric designs and implements comprehensive advocacy strategies merging legal, legislative, communications, political, and grassroots efforts into a coordinated campaign.

In addition to his legal practice, Eric is a historian and author focusing on American political history. He earned his PhD in United States History at Florida State University and is the author of several scholarly articles. In 2023, the Louisiana State University Press published his book, The Boss of New Orleans: Martin Behrman and Machine Politics in the Crescent City. Eric enjoys writing and speaking on topics such as constitutional law, election law, public policy, government affairs, and political history.
