Amy D. Envall focuses her practice on education law, serving K–12 public schools across Florida.  Her areas of expertise encompass a broad range of legal matters impacting K-12 public education and post-secondary institutions, including operations, contract negotiation, policy development, exceptional student education, charter schools, civil rights compliance, tort defense, labor and employment matters, transportation, and cases of discrimination, discipline, bullying, and harassment. Ms. Envall represents educational institutions before state and federal entities such as the United States Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, the Florida Department of Education, the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings, as well as in trial and appellate courts. She also conducts statewide training in ethics, public records management, and the Sunshine Law, helping agencies stay informed and compliant.

Prior to joining Sniffen & Spellman, Ms. Envall held key legal leadership positions within Florida’s education system.  She was the General Counsel for The School Board of Orange County, Florida, and The School Board of Brevard County, Florida.  Her career also includes roles as attorney and the Ethics Compliance Officer for Orange County Public Schools, General Counsel for the Clerk of Courts, Assistant County Attorney, Trial Court Staff Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, and Assistant Dean for Academic Programs and Faculty Development at Barry University School of Law.  Prior to earning her J.D., Ms. Envall began her professional journey as a fourth-grade teacher, after earning her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education.

She is admitted to practice law before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and all Florida state courts.  Ms. Envall is the former Vice President for the Florida School Board Attorneys Association.  In her spare time, she remains actively engaged with her community through service on the Board of Directors for various local non-profits.  Outside of her legal practice, Ms. Envall enjoys traveling and performs with the Osceola Community Orchestra.  She and her husband, a sworn law enforcement officer, are the proud parents of two children, a dog, and two cats.

  • Central Florida Honor Flight – Guardian, Mission #30 and Mission #33 (non-profit organization transporting WWI, Korea, and Vietnam veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials at no cost to them)
  • Community Volunteer with the Sunshine Foundation (non-profit organization answering the dreams of children with chronic life-long illnesses and conditions, granting wishes)
  • Community Volunteer with A Hero for Kids Foundation (non-profit organization working to get donated books, backpacks, school supplies, and hygiene items into the hands of need children)
